Dog chasing its tail

I am unhappy with the possible, and want the impossible, but cannot have the impossible, so I am unhappy.

So you say. But the impossible must possible to attain, or else you would have no desire for it in the first place. What else could explain your desire for something seemingly unable to attain?

Is it possible to crave something that you know almost nothing about? Nothing except mere hints of it's existence?

I'm sure this is true.

According to Lewis, the unhappiness you feel is called joy--or at least something very akin to it.
